How do I take care of my items?

Please follow the care instructions listed on the product pages of our items.

To ensure proper maintenance, we recommend exercising caution and utilizing a professional-grade cleaner. 

For enhanced beauty over time, Marate leather goods require careful maintenance. Follow these key instructions diligently:

  • Avoid exposing your leather goods to humidity and direct sources of heat (radiators, sun)

  • Prevent any contact with alcohol (perfume, solvent) and greasy substances (make-up)

  • Avoid contact with rough or abrasive materials

  • Waterproof your leather good and maintain it with a professional leather conditioner regularly

  • Like any other material, leather accumulates dirt and dust over time.
    To keep your leather goods looking their best, it's important to Regularly condition or polish the leather every 15 days to maintain its integrity,

  • Cleaning may strip oils and moisture from leather, leading to dryness. Conditioning restores moisture, keeping fibers flexible and leather healthy.

 

To clean your leather goods, wipe with a clear, non-abrasive and soft dry cloth.

In case of contact with water, do not rub the leather:

use a clear dry cloth and apply a gentle  tapping motion to absorb the liquid.

If stains occur, dab the area with a damp soft cloth and leave to air dry.

Apply a clear leather cream using gentle circling motions.
